The Beaver Creek Wetlands Association is responsibility for the management of about five parcels of land around the Big Beaver Creek and the Little Beaver Creek in Beavercreek, OH where these photos were taken.  It is an example of citizen action at its best.

island2With little or no snow and not many days with freezing temperatures this winter the wetlands have taken on a brown and gray coloring.

Wetlands provide habitat for birds and animals as well as a system for absorbing storm surges and filtering polluted water…and a place for hiking!
