INDIAN lAKE

Indian Lake, the headwaters of the Great Miami River in northwest Ohio, was doubled in size around 1860’s in the heydays of the Erie to Cincinnati canal to supply water for the big project. It was one of several lakes in the area built as part of the canal structure. Today it provides recreation for thousands of families whose cottages line its shore.

On a recent visit I found some fog and a full moon to provide great pictures and found some Native Americans still watching over their lake.
